DiCaprio, Scorsese to team up for two more thrillers

Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio and filmmaker Martin Scorsese to collaborate on two feature films in the future.

Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio and filmmaker Martin Scorsese are to collaborate on the production of two feature films in the future.

The first reported film project is an adaptation of Erik Larson’s book ‘The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America’, while the second is an adaptation of author David Grann’s true-crime thriller ‘Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI’.

DiCaprio earlier purchased the film rights to Erik Larson’s book, which tells the story of Daniel H. Burnham, the architect behind the World’s Fair in 1893, and Dr. H. H. Holmes, the serial killer who lured up to 200 victims to their deaths.

No details have yet to be revealed on who DiCaprio will play in the feature film.

The second Scorsese-DiCaprio film, ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ is set in the 1920s around the FBI’s investigation into a string of murders on the Osage Indian Reservation in Oklahoma.

Film shooting of ‘Flower Moon’ is expected to start in the spring of next year, taking precedence over ‘White City’, reportedly because of problems in the script or other logistical reasons.

The release dates for the two films have not been projected as of yet.

Currently, Martin Scorsese is coming off production on ‘The Irishman’, which will reunite him with cult-classic ‘Goodfellas’ duo Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci.

Scorsese and DiCaprio’s last picture together was ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, released four years ago.

The Hollywood duo worked with each other on a total of five movies, starting with ‘Gangs of New York’ in 2002.
